My process of creation begins with walking and looking, especially the clothes people are wearing. Clothes are full of symbols: icons that human beings have been using for hundreds of years. I reflect on how, through them, we try to build a solid identity, even though they represent a product of massification.
My sculptures are carved in linden wood. They show a human being with an apathetic face and a hieratic posture. People are semi-naked, not knowing if they are dressing or undressing. They are looking in an imaginary mirror. They are having doubts about what to do, who to be. Clothes are like a skin that we put on and off every day.
